Seeing familiar paths — and discovering new choices.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a clear difficulty or pain point; at other times, a quieter sense of strain, confusion, or emotional heaviness. You may notice that familiar ways of coping, relating, or understanding yourself no longer feel sufficient. Counselling offers a space to slow down and make sense of your experience, at a pace that suits you.
My Approach
As an integrative therapist, I take a relational and reflective approach. I take the time to listen deeply, creating a space for you to be heard, at a pace that suits you.
Simply sharing what feels difficult or overwhelming—without judgement—can bring initial relief and breathing room.
In our work together, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and life experiences, helping you understand recurring struggles from a new perspective. This can increase self-awareness and open up a greater sense of choice in how you respond and the direction you want to take. The therapeutic relationship itself is central to this process.
A safe, respectful, and supportive connection can help build trust, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of connection—with both yourself and others.
Some experiences can be hard to express in words, and where it feels helpful, I can offer optional creative approaches, such as sandtray work, to explore thoughts and feelings in a different way.
I also work from an existential perspective, recognising that uncertainty, loss, and the search for meaning are part of being human. Making space for these shared challenges—rather than facing them alone—can help clarify what matters to you and guide how you want to live with greater clarity, resilience, and authenticity.
Beginning counselling can feel like a big step. I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call, giving you space to briefly share what’s bringing you here, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether my way of working feels right for you. There is no obligation to continue. If you prefer, you can simply email to arrange your first session.
